We started out 2020 with grand plans of it being the best year to date, little did we know what the year would have install for us all.

We started out the year with Playmore Centerfold at Stanthorpe Show, taking out Champion led Stockhorse and 1st place in the ASH Hack over 15hh class.

Next stop was Bangalow Buckle Challenge in February, where “Iggy Madeuswait” made her debut earning a respectable 3rd overall in the 2yo challenge. The ever so reliable duo of “Koorala Enchanted Rose” and “Emugully What A Gem” went a phenomenal 1st and 2nd overall in the Young Horse Challenge, earning me my first buckle.

We managed to sneak in Oakey show on the 14th March, the week Corona Virus was announced. “Emugully Kakadu” made his debut as a weanling colt, winning the led ASH Colt/Stallion class. “Playmore Centerfold” and “Iggy Madeuswait” placed in both their led and ridden classes also. I also prepared TB gelding “Marenostro” for his owners, where he placed in his classes in the Open Hack ring.

From there it went down hill fast, with 7 horses in preparation for the busy show season, Corona went viral, shows were cancelled and most of the horses returned home to their owners. After recovering from the shock to the system and the change in the daily routine. We found some motivation during the year, I started breaking in a few horses, sold some horses, worked some new client horses and attended some lessons with Ian Francis, Campdrafting clinic with Felicity Burton, Bison clinics with Stareen Bison, some online shows and a cutting show.

As the year now comes to a close, we are preparing for a bigger and better 2021, with the hope the year returns to some sort of norm. So far we are planning on attending some local ag shows and campdrafts, the ARBC challenge, ASHS Futurities and ASHS National Show.

I look forward to debuting some new youngstock and showing the old faithfuls.

I would like to thank Hyfeed for the continued support throughout the rollercoaster ride of 2020 and I very much look forward to continuing the partnership into 2021.
