Despite 2020 being the year that everything was thrown into chaos, and most of the major shows that we had planned being cancelled, we were lucky enough in Queensland to get out and about towards the end of the year.

With all major royal shows and national competitions cancelled, my main horse Dicavalli Royal Rory was left on an extended holiday until normality returned. Hes absolutely loved it, and has come back better than ever and hoping for a 2021 to remember – We are aiming for 20 Royal show Open Hunter hack wins next year (at 18 now!)and another Nationals qualification.

Although I was very very busy with work during the pandemic, I was able to compete by young horse Stoneleigh Holly Go Lightly (now sold to a wonderful young rider), Heathmont Flirt an up and coming Small Show hunter hack and Debanlay Class Act a newcomer large Hunter pony. We were lucky enough to compete at a few shows towards the end of the year, with Nationals and Grand nationals qualifications, as well as great success at the QLD Horse of the Year shows including Champion Newcomer of the year, QLD Runner up Open Small hunter hack and QLD Runner Up Adult rider of the year with Heathmont Flirt – a wonderful result for such a young inexperienced horse at the start of their career.

2021 looks to be a very exciting year as I also have a Newcomer Open hack to bring out and another small hunter hack, as well as continue on with Rory, Georgia (Flirt) and Blaire (Class Act). Fingers crossed our year starts with Grand Nationals, Sydney Royal and Toowoomba Royal shows.

All with the support of Hyfeed keeping them looking at their best. I keep them looking fabulous on Shine On, HyFibre, Alpha E Oil. I also love the Equimin Plus supplement and Soy Gize to top their weight up, or in peak competition season as well as the Bighead product and Weight Plus when needed.
