River Range Warmblood Stud - Linda Shore
River Range Warmblood Stud (RRWS) was started by Linda Shore in 1988 with the purchase of a 3 year old colt, Northern Classic (Classic) from Northern Warmblood Stud in Victoria, Australia.
The partnership between Linda and Classic saw them perform in dressage competition up to Prix St George level until the end of 1988 when he was retired from competition. However it was not unitl 2005 that Classic was fully retired from riding, as he was used as a school master and ridden by Linda until then. February 2008 saw Classic turn 23 years of age, and still producing top quality foals.
RRWS covered their first mares with Classic in 1988 and over the years he has time and time again produced dressage horses who have proven themselves in all levels of dressage from Preliminary to Grand Prix and this is why his progeny has been exported to several other countries including Malaysia, Japan, Germany and the USA. River Range Copenhagen was one of these horses sold to Japanese interests in 2005 as a Grand Prix competition horse.
The majority of broodmares at RRWS have been thoroughbreds chosen for their conformation, temperament and movement, but in recent years Linda has been able to breed back to some lovely mares by Classic, 2005 saw the first of these mares bred to RRWS new Holstein stallion IHB Rio de Janero. Linda currently has 2 young fillies by Rio de Janero out of Classic mares who are meeting all expectations of having the potential to be superb performance horses in the dressage or showjumping arena.
The 2008 breeding season will see the introduction of River Range Coupe de Grace (RR Copenhagen EXP). Coupe de Grace combines the blood lines of Holstner (Northern Classic), Hanoverian (Weltmeyer), Trakener (Copernicus) and thoroughbred. He is a superbly conformed young horse with the most amazing movement and super temperament. Now is just a matter sitting back and wait to see the results!!!!
